A pioneer in biobased materials, Dr. Narayan introduced the "Biomass/Biobased" concept and led the industrialization of Polylactic Acid (PLA). His vision promotes environmental health by reintegrating organic carbon into soil, while he founded the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI). He also shaped the U.S. BioPreferred program and chairs ASTM and ISO committees, setting global standards for degradable plastics. |
